De Doelen and Summertime Music present Mariza, the internationally acclaimed Portuguese fado singer who has been captivating international music stages for over two decades. With her new album Amor, she presents a programme centred on love, nostalgia and identity. Rooted in the tradition of fado and enriched with contemporary influences, Mariza once again demonstrates why she is regarded as one of the greatest voices in world music. Born in Mozambique and raised in the historic Mouraria district of Lisbon, Mariza was surrounded by the sounds and stories of fado from an early age. With her unique voice and impressive stage presence, she has grown from a local talent into one of Portugal's most celebrated artists. She has now been performing on the world's biggest stages for over two decades and is regarded as one of the most important ambassadors of Portuguese culture.
